Ethos & aims

Our ethos

Support should be accessible for anyone faced with challenging situations that can alter or have an impact on a person’s emotional, social or physical wellbeing. Regardless of age, race, religion, sexuality, disability and financial status.

T Smiles Foundation, help with grief, trauma & loss in South West Hertfordshire

Our aim

  1. To relieve mental and physical sickness of persons suffering from bereavement, trauma or loss by provision of coaching and mentoring support for such persons.
  2. To relieve financial hardship by providing such persons with services which they could not otherwise afford through lack of means.
  3. To help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their capabilities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.
  4. To increase social inclusion among single parents and their children who are excluded from society, or parts of society, due to their social and economic position by the provision of a play scheme and drop in support and education centre to enable single parents and their children to develop and gain new skills.
  5. To advance the education of the public in the subject of grief, loss and trauma

Ultimately our am is to provide a safe healing environment for those in need of support on their journey from survival mode to Thriving.
